Are you new to Aerial Yoga? No problem! We are here to help you along at every step of the way.
First off, welcome to Aerial Yoga of Alaska! We can’t wait to exercise and train with you! Aerial Yoga is something that anyone can do, so we’re happy you decided to try something new.
For your first class, be prepared to use some muscles that may not have gotten much attention before. Aerial Yoga is an exciting form of Yoga that uses Aerial Silks to prop yourself up in the air and move. We recommend wearing comfy clothes such as yoga pants and a T-Shirt or long sleeved shirt to prevent underarm burns from the Silks as you soar through the air. Remove any jewelry or sharp objects on you to prevent tearing the silks while you’re wrapped in them. Please print, fill out, and bring this Waiver and Contact sheet along to your first class.
After your first class, you may notice some bruises on your arms and legs. This is completely normal, as your body needs to get used to the Silks.
Above all else, be open minded to the new experience you are taking! We’ve all been first timers, but with practice and regular attendance, you can become great! Be ready to come to class, get inspired, compare bruises, and have fun!
